De volgende algemene voorwaarden zijn van toepassing op het gebruik van de service van UnicStory (hierna UnicStory). Lees de voorwaarden goed door voordat je een bestelling plaatst en jullie je verhaal laat omtoveren tot een werkelijk uniek product. Door de website te gebruiken, een account te openen en door te klikken op de algemene voorwaarden ga je ermee akkoord en stem je ermee gebonden te zijn en zich te houden aan deze voorwaarden en ons privacybeleid. Als je niet akkoord wilt gaan met deze algemene voorwaarden of het privacybeleid, kan je de service van UnicStory niet gebruiken. Deze website wordt aangeboden en is beschikbaar voor gebruikers (hierna Kopers) die 13 jaar of ouder zijn. Kopers zijn gebruikers die de diensten van UnicStory.com afnemen. Ben je jonger dan 13 jaar, dan mag je alleen onder ouderlijk toezicht een bestelling plaatsen. Door de service van UnicStory te gebruiken, verklaar en garandeer je dat je de wettelijke leeftijd hebt om een ​​bindend contract te sluiten en aan alle voorgaande geschiktheidsvereisten voldoet. Als je niet aan al deze vereisten voldoet, kan je geen gebruik maken van de service van UnicStory.com. UnicStory behoudt zich het recht voor om accounts permanent uit te schakelen wegens schending van deze algemene voorwaarden of wegens illegaal of ongepast gebruik van de diensten. UnicStory kan van tijd tot tijd wijzigingen aanbrengen in de algemene voorwaarden. Wanneer deze wijzigingen zijn aangebracht, maakt UnicStory een nieuwe kopie van de servicevoorwaarden beschikbaar op deze pagina. Je begrijpt en stemt ermee in dat als je gebruik maakt van de diensten van UnicStory na de datum waarop de voorwaarden zijn gewijzigd, UnicStory je gebruik zal beschouwen als acceptatie van de bijgewerkte voorwaarden.

Alleen geregistreerde Kopers kunnen een bestelling plaatsen op UnicStory.com. Registratie is gratis.

Prijzen en betalingen – kinderillustratieboek

Bestellingen op UnicStory worden aangeboden op basis van de gekozen artiest. Koper kan ervoor kiezen om het aantal pagina’s met 2 pagina’s per extensie uit te breiden, tot maximaal 30 pagina’s. Elke extra 2 (verhaal)pagina’s die de koper graag geïllustreerd wil hebben, kost extra. Prijs is afhankelijk van de tekenstijl en of artiest. Kijk op de website voor prijzen en tekenstijlen. Kopers betalen UnicStory.com vooraf bij het indienen van een bestellingsverzoek via www.UnicStory.com.

Jouw eigen unieke verhaal

UnicStory accepteert alleen jouw/jullie verhaal in het Nederlands en Engels. Verhalen die in andere talen dan Engels zijn ingediend, worden door Google Translate in het Nederlands vertaald. Het is de verantwoordelijkheid van de Koper om zo duidelijk mogelijk te zijn bij het opsturen van hun verhaal ter illustratie. UnicStory vraagt ​​de Koper om zijn/haar verhaal ter illustratie nogmaals te controleren, aangezien de eindresultaten worden bepaald door de interpretatie van de illustrator van het orderverhaal en de duidelijkheid van de context. Zodra het verhaal is ingediend, neemt een teamlid van UnicStory contact op met de Koper voor een persoonlijke debriefing per telefoon van maximaal 30 minuten. Deze service is inbegrepen bij de prijs.

Illustratieboek voor kinderen:

Het ingezonden UnicStory kan maximaal 1082 tekens (200 woorden om het verhaal uit te leggen) per pagina bevatten.

Levering

Zodra de Koper een bestelling voor een verhalenboek indient, levert UnicStory de illustratie op basis van de capaciteit van de gekozen artiest. We proberen het uiterlijk 20 dagen na de bestelling te leveren, maar UnicStory kan het niet garanderen omdat het volledig handwerk is. De levertijd zal middels email worden gecommuniceerd. Bij vertraging in de levering van het concept (illustratie) zal UnicStory zo spoedig mogelijk contact opnemen met de Koper. Zodra de koper tevreden is met het concept (illustratie), wordt het verhaal naar de drukker gestuurd en ontvangt de koper een Track & Trace-nummer. De bezorgdatum is afhankelijk van de bestemming. Doorgaans is de levering niet langer dan 7 werkdagen.

Correctierondes

Elke bestelling is inclusief twee (2) correctierondes die de Koper kan gebruiken om de illustratie van het verhaal in detail te wijzigen. Zodra een verhaal is ingediend en de status in behandeling is, kunnen alleen details worden herzien. Grote veranderingen aan de illustratie zijn niet mogelijk; b.v. het verhaallijn of verschillende karakters. UnicStory neemt een grote wijziging wel in overweging om deze naar alle redelijkheid te beoordelen voor verdere bespreking en/of overeenstemming. Verzoeken om correcties kunnen worden uitgevoerd via de persoonlijke accountpagina van Kopers tenzij de bestelling voorafgaand is gemarkeerd als afgeleverd/in behandeling door de Koper. De artiest streeft ernaar de correcties in de illustratie binnen zeven (7) dagen door te voeren ter beoordeling voor de koper. Er is geen garantie in deze zeven dagen aangezien het volledig handgemaakt is en gebaseerd is op de capaciteit van de kunstenaar. Het team van UnicStory is verantwoordelijk voor alle communicatie-uitwisselingen en zal zo duidelijk mogelijk communiceren over de verwachte levertijd.

Illustratieboek voor kinderen;

Een revisieronde betekent een revisie van het totale verhaal met al zijn pagina’s. bijv.; als een Koper een verhaal van 16 pagina’s heeft besteld kan de Koper de eerste revisieronde gebruiken en een revisieverzoek plaatsen op details op elk van die 16 pagina’s. Met details bedoelen we specifieke details binnen de illustratie. bijv.; verander de kleur van de jurk op pagina 3, voeg een zonnebril toe op pagina 10, voeg een vogel toe, creëer meer bomen, enz. Nadat de correcties zijn doorgevoerd, krijgt de Koper de mogelijkheid om een ​​tweede correctieronde te doen op diezelfde 16 pagina’s die zijn gewijzigd gebaseerd op de eerste opmerkingen van kopers.

Afronding en levering van de bestelling

Een bestelling is voltooid wanneer de Koper het geïllustreerde verhaal als geaccepteerd in zijn account markeert. Alle bestellingen hebben een Track and Trace, zodat de koper zijn afgedrukte UnicStory kan volgen.

Annulering

Als een bestelling om welke reden dan ook door de Koper wordt geannuleerd, wordt er geen restitutie verleend (tenzij de artiest nog niet is begonnen, wat per situatie afhangt). UnicStory zal uiteraard haar best doen om te kijken of restitutie of gedeeltelijke restitutie alsnog mogelijk is. Vanwege het maatwerkproces kan dit echter niet worden gegarandeerd.

Als een bestelling om welke reden dan ook door UnicStory wordt geannuleerd, zal de terugbetaling 100% zijn in dezelfde valuta als betaald door de koper en is de valutakoers van toepassing op de dag van de terugbetaling.

Een bestelling wordt automatisch als voltooid gemarkeerd als deze niet wordt geaccepteerd en er geen verzoek tot correctie is ingediend binnen 7 dagen nadat het concept (illustratie) van het verhaal aan de Koper is geleverd. UnicStory zal voor deze 7 dagen contact opnemen ter herinnering aan het beoordelen van het concept (illustratie). Neem in geval van geschillen contact met ons op via info@unicstory.com.

Eigendom / intellectueel eigendom

Wanneer de bestelling is betaald en geleverd, krijgt de Koper de intellectuele eigendomsrechten voor het fysieke werk (UnicStory kinderkamerbehang of UnicStory kinderboek) dat door UnicStory wordt geleverd en doet UnicStory afstand van alle morele rechten daarop. Elke overdracht en toewijzing van intellectueel eigendom aan de Koper is onderworpen aan volledige betaling voor de bestelling en de levering mag niet worden gebruikt als de betaling om welke reden dan ook wordt geannuleerd. De diensten van UnicStory zijn handgemaakt en het geleverde werk in zijn fysieke vorm (boek of behang) is het exclusieve eigendom van de Koper, en daarmee draagt ​​UnicStory alle rechten, titels en belangen in het geleverde werk over. Het door de artiest geïllustreerde digitale verhaal (digitale goedgekeurde werk) – de auteursrechten – blijft het intellectuele eigendom van de kunstenaar en kan alleen via UnicStory worden gewijzigd. Het door de kunstenaar geïllustreerde verhaal mag alleen worden gebruikt ten behoeve van de bestelling van de Koper, tenzij de Koper anders verzoekt. Indien er een verzoek is van de Koper om het digitaal geïllustreerde verhaal te gebruiken voor een ander doel (bijvoorbeeld geboortekaartjes) zal er een nieuwe overeenkomst worden gesloten met andere prijzen.

UnicStory bevestigt dat alle informatie die wordt ontvangen van de Koper, die niet tot het publieke domein behoort maar tot het kopers domein, vertrouwelijk zal worden behandeld en niet zal worden gedeeld of gebruikt voor welk doel dan ook, anders dan voor de levering van het bestelde werk aan de Koper. Zodra de betaling is gedaan, verwijdert UnicStory de inhoud die de Koper vrijwillig heeft gedeeld t.b.v. de bestelling (teksten, foto’s, video’s en andere informatie). UnicStory kan het geïllustreerde verhaal werk alleen gebruiken ten behoeve van het artiestenportfolio en marketing. Koper kan tevens aan UnicStory verzoeken het bestelde werk niet te gebruiken voor illustratorenportfolio en marketing.

Welcome to UnicStory,

The following terms and conditions, govern your access to and use of the UnicStory service (herafter UnicStory). Please read the terms of conditions carefully before you place an order. By using the website, opening an account or by clicking to accept or agree to the terms and conditions when this option is made available to you, you accept and agree to be bound and abide by these terms of conditions and our Privacy Policy, incorporated herein by reference. If you do not want to agree to these terms and condition or the privacy policy, you must not use the UnicStory service. This website is offered and available to users (hereafter Buyers) who are 13 years of age or older. Buyers are users who purchase the services of UnicStory.com. If you are under 13 you may only place an order under parental supervision. By using the UnicStory service, you represent and warrant that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and meet all of the foregoing eligibility requirements. If you do not meet all of these requirements, you must not use the service of UnicStory.com. UnicStory reserves the right to permanently disable accounts due to breach of these terms and conditions or due to any illegal or inappropriate use of the services. UnicStory may make changes to its terms and conditions from time to time. When these changes are made, UnicStory will make a new copy of the terms of service available on this page. You understand and agree that if you use the services of UnicStory after the date on which the terms and conditions have changed, UnicStory will treat your use as acceptance of the updated terms and conditions.

Prices and payments – children’s illustration book 

Orders on UnicStory are offered based on the chosen drawing style / artist. Buyer can choose to extend the number of pages by 2 pages per extension, till a maximum of 30 pages. Each additional 2 story pages that the Buyer would like to have illustrated will costs additional. Price is depending on the drawing style. Please check the website for pricing and drawing styles. Buyers pay UnicStory.com in advance when submitting an order request through www.UnicStory.com.

Your own unique story

UnicStory only accepts your story in Dutch and English. Story’s submitted in other languages other that English will be translated into Dutch by Google Translate. It’s Buyers responsibility to be as clear as possible when sending in their story to be illustrated. UnicStory asks the Buyer to double check their story for illustration as the end results will be defined by the illustrator’s perception of the order story and clarity of context. Once the story is submitted a team member of UnicStory will contact the Buyer for a personal debrief by telephone. 

Children’s illustration book: UnicStory excepts a maximum of 1082 characters (200 words) per page. 

Delivery

Once the Buyer submits an order for a storybook, UnicStory will deliver the illustration based on the capacity of the chosen artist. We try to deliver it no later than 20 days for an order, but we won’t guarantee it as it’s all handmade. In case there is a delay in delivery UnicStory will contact the Buyer as soon as possible. Once the Buyer is satisfied the story will be send to the printer and the Buyer will receive a Track & Trace number. Delivery date is depending on the destination.

Revisions rounds

Each order is included with two (2) revisions rounds that the Buyer can use to revise the illustration of the story in detail. Once a story is submitted and the status is pending, only details will be subject for revision. Major changes to the illustration are not feasible – e.g. the story line or different characters – as this is defined by the illustrator’s perception of the story send for illustration by the Buyer. In case Buyer requests major changes, the Buyer will need to contact the team of UnicStory for further discussion and/ or agreement. Requests for revisions can be performed through the Buyers account page while the order is marked as delivered/ pending. The artist will try to have the story revised within seven (7) days and send back for Buyers review. There is no guarantee as it’s all handmade and based on the artists capacity. The team of UnicStory is in charge of all communication exchanges and be as clear as possible concerning the expected time delivery. 

Children’s illustration book; A revision round means a revision on the total story with all its pages. E.g.; if a Buyer has ordered a story with 16 pages. The Buyer can use the first revision round and place revision request on details on each of those 16 pages. With details we mean specific details within the illustration. E.g.; change the color of the dress on page 3, add sunglasses on page 10, add window, create more trees, etc. After the corrections have been made the Buyer gets the opportunity to have a second correction round on those 16 pages that have been modified based on Buyers first comments.

Completion and delivery of the order

An order is complete when the Buyer marks the illustrated story as accepted in their account. All orders will have a Track and Trace so the Buyer is able to track their printed UnicStory.

Cancellation

If an order is cancelled by the Buyer for any reason, a refund will not be granted (unless the artist hasn’t started yet which depends per order). UnicStory will of course do its best to see if a refund or partly refund is possible. However this cannot be guaranteed due to the tailor-made process.  

If an order is cancelled by UnicStory for any reason, the refund will be 100% in the same currency as paid by the Buyer and the currency rate applies on the day of the refund.

An order will be automatically marked as complete if not accepted and no request for revision was submitted within 7 days after the illustration of the story was delivered to the Buyer. In case of any disputes, please contact us at info@unicstory.com.

Ownership / intellectual property

When the order is payed and delivered the Buyer is granted the intellectual property rights for the physical work delivered from UnicStory, and UnicStory waives any and all moral rights therein. All transfer and assignment of intellectual property to Buyer shall be subject to full payment for the order and the delivery may not be used if payment is cancelled for any reason. The services of UnicStory is custom design work and the delivered work in it’s physical stage (book or wallpaper) shall be the exclusive property of Buyer, and therefore UnicStory assigns all rights, title and interest in the delivered work. The digital story illustrated by the artist itself – the copyrights – will remain the intellectual property of the artist and can only be modified through UnicStory. The story illustrated by the artist may only be used for the purpose of the order of the Buyer unless Buyer requests otherwise. If there is a request from the Buyer to use the digital illustrated story for a different purpose (e.g. birth card) a new agreement will be made with different prices. 

UnicStory confirms that all information is received from the Buyer, which is not public domain but buyers domein, shall be kept confidential and shall not be shared or used for any purpose whatsoever other than for the delivery of the ordered work to the Buyer. Once payment is made UnicStory will remove the content buyers voluntarily create/upload to UnicStory, (texts, photos, videos and any other information). UnicStory will use the delivered work only for the purpose of the artist portfolio and marketing. Buyer can demand UnicStory to not use the ordered work for illustrators portfolio and marketing.
